Job Description

Sourcing:

  • Analyze and forecast the Company’s demand for goods and analyze the market to find suppliers that meet product requirements.
  • Check quality, performance, and evaluate the reliability of suppliers to select appropriate ones.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with suppliers.
  • Seek and expand new suppliers. Prepare contingency plans for supply sources.

Purchasing:

  • Plan the schedule for purchasing activities.
  • Negotiate prices, payment terms, and contract terms with suppliers to optimize the Company’s benefits.
  • Coordinate with departments to fulfill the Company’s obligations under signed contracts.
  • Monitor and check the fulfillment of supplier obligations under signed contracts.
  • Inspect goods and handle claims/require compensation from suppliers in case of issues.

Import-Export Activities:

  • Complete import documentation and legal procedures as per law for orders.
  • Organize customs clearance and other related import-export activities.

Logistic Management:

  • Select carriers, transportation methods, and vehicles, and sign transportation contracts for shipments.
  • Closely supervise the transportation process and organize reasonable goods receipt activities.
  • Manage delivery to ensure the correct quantity, quality, and timely delivery of goods.
  • Track shipments and provide timely invoices and documents to relevant departments.
  • Update goods data on the software.

Other Tasks:

  • Report and other tasks as assigned by the Department Head.

Job Requirements

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to travel for extended periods and work intensively

Professional Competence:

  • University/graduate degree in Economics, Foreign Trade, Commerce, etc.
  • Proficient in English (mandatory)
  • Chinese language skills (preferred)
  • Understanding of the industrial metals sector
  • Knowledge in expanding supply sources
  • Preference for candidates with experience in the industrial metals trade (Steel/Aluminum/Copper/Stainless Steel, etc.)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position
  • Proficient in office computing
  • Preference for candidates with experience in the industrial metals trade (Steel/Aluminum)

Personal Traits:

  • Good presentation, reporting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Good organizational and execution skills; leadership and management skills are an advantage.

Salary: Negotiable.
