Job Description
- Develop and expand the network of domestic and international suppliers, seeking those with high-quality products and optimal pricing.
- Possess sourcing, assessment, and evaluation skills for new suppliers of the company’s products.
- Have knowledge in the import-export trade, understanding and mastering Incoterms to protect the company’s interests.
- Stay alert to market information related to industrial metal materials.
- Ability to analyze and forecast prices, providing advice to the leadership in purchasing decisions to ensure company profitability.
- Adapt flexibly to the company’s products to diversify the product range in the industrial metals business sector.
- Experience in international logistics, bulk cargo shipping, domestic transportation, and port handling procedures.
- Capability to analyze and compare costs, proposing initiatives to optimize transportation costs.
- Ability to read and analyze price charts on metal futures exchanges (preferred).
- Skills in developing procurement strategies to meet business plans for different periods.
- Coordinate with other departments to handle arising issues (if any).
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Leadership Board.
- Other duties as assigned by the Department Head.
Job requirement
Required qualifications:
- Preference for candidates with experience in industrial metal trading (Steel/Aluminum/Copper/Stainless Steel…).
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar position.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Teamwork skills and work planning abilities.
- Proficiency in using specialized tools and software.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a high-intensity environment.
- Competence in communication, client reception, and business travel.
Professional Competence:
- University/Postgraduate degree in Economics, Foreign Trade, Commerce, or related fields.
- Proficiency in English (mandatory).
- Proficiency in Chinese (preferred).
- In-depth understanding of the industrial metals sector.
- Knowledge in expanding the supply chain.
- Time management skills.
- Strategic planning and organizational skills.
- Leadership and staff management skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with clients.
